Jamie Foxx is set to take a role in the movie The Kingdom by Universal Pictures. The movie is going to be directed by Peter Berg (The Rundown, Friday Night Lights), produced by Michael Mann, and written by Matthew Michael Carnahan. Foxx will be playing a leader of an anti-terrorist team investigating recent murders of Americans that were in the Middle East. Bureaucracy and cultural problems lead the team to hire a local officer, but despite this, he is the still a target for terrorists. This is the third project that Foxx and Mann have done together, following Miami Vice and Collateral
Miami Vice, which also stars Colin Farrell, will be in cinemas on July 28th, 2006. Foxx will also be seen next year alongside Beyonce Knowles and Eddie Murphy in the movie Dreamgirls. |
