Green Day, 50 Cent and Mariah Carey were the big winners at the Billboard Music Awards this year. Rapper 50 Cent took six prizes, including artist of the year and album of the year, although his tour prevented him from being present for the ceremony. Rockers Green Day also took home six awards, the trio was named rock artist of the year, best group, and their song Boulevard of Broken Dreams was chosen as song of the year. Singer Mariah Carey finished her exceptional year with several awards, including singer of the year and R&B/Hip Hop artist of the year among others. |
