Amy Lee, the singer for The Rock group Evanescence, has filed a lawsuit against her former manager. The star filed her claim Wednesday in Los Angeles against Dennis Rider of Rider Management. The singer is charging breach of fiduciary duty, sexual assault and battery, professional negligence and currency conversion, among other claims. Lee is requesting punitive damages to be paid by Rider, as well as reimbursement for unauthorized credit card purchases. Lee and her band, who are currently working on their next album, ended their relationship with Rider at the end of last month. The lawsuit filed by Lee comes just days after Rider filed a similar suit against the singer. On December 1st, the former manager accused Lee of a breach of contract and is asking for $10 million. |
