The film stars Tom Cruise, who returns to his role as agent Ethan Hunt.  Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Simon Pegg, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Michelle Monaghan, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Billy Crudup, Maggie Q and Sasha Alexander also star in the movie.  J.J. Abrams (Alias, Lost) directed the film, which opens in theatres on May 5, 2006.
