Pop's cheekiest star, Robbie Williams, has been approached to record the theme song for the next James Bond film. According to IOL, veteran singer Tony Christie, who wrote the song, has said that Robbie Williams would be the perfect performer for the theme song to Casino Royale. Williams said, "I'M a huge fan of the old school 007 songs like Shirley Bassey with Goldfinger and Tom Jones singing Thunderball, so I tried to give it that authentic sound. We are due to record it in February." Filming for Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig for the first time in the role of Agent 007, begins in January. |
