| American singer Melissa Etheridge has admitted that she used marijuana to help her with the side effects from chemotherapy. According to IOL, the singer, who won her battle with cancer recently, used the drug on a recommendation from her doctor. She recalls: "I bought a vaporiser to heat up the herb, which I'd inhale four or five times a day." She added, "Using the pot was the best advice anybody gave me. It relieved most of my symptoms and I got a great deal of comfort from it." The singer, who is now cancer-free, is angry that the American government has such strict laws against marijuana use for sick patients. She said, "I'M furious that our country is denying the use of pot. It should be legalised for medicinal purposes." |
