U2 Tour Dominates 2005

U2's Vertigo tour has been named as the most lucrative for 2005.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the tour took in more than $260 million, with more than three million fans seeing the live performances at 90 sold-out concerts.

The Eagles came in second place, with revenues reaching $117 million for their 77 concerts last year.

In third place was Neil Diamond, who earned $71 million during his last tour.
