Tom Cruise Raises Funds For His Church

American actor Tom Cruise has made a rare personal appearance to raise money for the Church of Scientology.

The star organised the project called New York Workers' Detoxification, which is aimed at helping survivors from the September 11th, 2001 attack on New York, using only saunas and other natural treatments.

A ticket to the gala evening cost of the evening was $7,500, which included dinner and a photograph with Cruise.

The treatment plan has not been scientifically proven to be effective.
