After an exceptional 2005, Californian trio, Green Day, hopes to release a new album in 2006. Since completing their world tour in Australia in mid-December, Green Day took only a few weeks off, and will return to the studios to record their next CD. Lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong spoke recently to Billboard Magazine: "It was a crazy year, but it's been the best year of our career," he tells Billboard. "It's going to be kind of sad for it to end, but, you know, we don't have any regrets." "We'll start with silence and that's how we'll be able to find the inspiration to find another record," he says.
