Breast reconstruction: what are the options?

Being diagnosed with breast cancer was a shock. Aged 44 with two young children, I just wanted them to take the breast away so that I could start treatment and feel confident the cancer was gone. Two years later, after I had recovered from chemotherapy and radiotherapy, I began to feel a sense of something lost and approached my breast care nurses. I began researching surgical options to reconstruct my breast, and one year ago this month I had the first operation at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
