Hallmark Photo Comp for Breast Cancer Charity

Hallmark Cards have launched a national photography competition in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign and Action Breast Cancer.

Hallmark Cards’ nationwide ‘Picture of Motherhood’ photography competition, asks budding photographers to capture an image that best represents motherhood.

Celebrity interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and his wife, Jackie, helped launch the competition outside the Tate Modern, London on the 12th October 2009. The couple has two children.

The competition will be judged by a panel including Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. Winning images will be captured on Hallmark Mother’s Day cards and the lucky photographers will also receive £1,000 worth of photography equipment.

The overall winners of the two age categories (up to 17 and 18 plus) will be announced on Mother’s Day 2010.

The competition is part of the company’s annual Cards for a Cure™ Mother’s Day initiative which, by March 2010, will have donated £1million to breast cancer charities to fund vital research into the disease.
