Clarence Dillon Wines, owners of Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion, use 40% Merlot and 60% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to create their rosé. They suggest Clarendelle Rosé is best served at 10°C - 12.5°C. This 2010 vintage will peak in 2011 - 2013.

Bella - the hostess -

I'm quite fond of this rosé, it makes me think of clear blue skies. I prefer rosé extra cold and this Clarendelle Rosé is no exception. It's got summer flavours stamped all through it and would work perfectly with light salads, new potatoes and lamb chops or pork loins. It didn't blow my mind but it's a nicely rounded wine and a good fridge staple for unexpected friends.

Sookie - the lightweight -

This is delightful and I don't use that sort of language often. It's very pretty to look at and the flavour's nice, not too strong and knock your socks off! I can imagine sipping this on a sun drenched terrace with the girls. A lovely for a summer sipper.

Jules - the wine lover -

I'm usually not too impressed by rosé wines but I'm not so much of a wine snob that I turn my nose up completely. Good thing too as this is quite lovely. It's got hints rather than notes of strawberry, raspberry and a little red current even. It's almost a summer pudding! The structure is what impresses most, it's elegant, it lingers. I'd probably keep a bottle of this handy for a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Nico - the typical boy
Well for rosé it's not bad. I never feel particularly "grrrr" drinking a pink wine but I have to admit it tastes pretty good. Bit light for me though. I prefer something with more of a hit.
