Naomie Harris (After the Sunset, 28 Days Later) has signed with Universal Pictures to star in Miami Vice. Michael Mann wrote the screenplay, and will direct and produce the film. Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell will play detectives Ricardo Tubbs and Sonny Crockett, while Harris, who some may remember as Clara in Channel 4's adpatation of White Teeth, will play Gina Calabrese, Tubbs's love interest. In the film, the two detectives face a transnational crime organization, and Crockett falls for the mob boss's wife, played by Gong Li. Naomie Harris is currently working on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and has recently finished Michael Winterbottom's film A Cock and Bull Story. |
