Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village) is set to star as Gwen Stacy in the upcoming film Spiderman 3. Sam Raimi will direct the film, which begins shooting this month. As Spiderman's first love, Gwen Stacy is a central character in the film, but Peter Parker is in love with Mary Jane Watson, creating a classic love triangle. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco are all returning for this web-spinning sequel. Thomas Haden Church will play the Sandman and Topher Grace will play another unidentified villain. Bryce Dallas Howard can be seen in the next film from M. Night Shyamalan, Lady in the Water, and also in Kenneth Branagh's As You Like It. She is also in Manderlay, which opens in theatres on January 27th. |
