Frank Langella to Boss Superman

American actor Frank Langella has been given the role of Superman's boss in an upcoming film.

65 year-old Langella will play Perry White in the film Superman Returns  , to replace Hugh Laurie, who has backed out due to scheduling conflicts.

Laurie hadn't yet shot his scenes for the film, which has been in production since March 21 in Australia.

Langella will play White, the editor of the newspaper, The Daily Planet, where Superman's alter-ego, Clark Kent works.
