Tom Selleck Doesn't Want To Be Old

Tom Selleck is refusing to be typecast as an old actor, regardless of the fact that he recently turned 60.

The star would rather be chosen for roles based on his talent, and not the date on his birth certificate.

He said, "It's a big number but most people don't think of me as 60 and I don't always play 60.  It would be better for work if I as known to be an actor of indeterminate age somewhere between Brad Pitt and death."

"That way I can get more parts in different age ranges.", he added.
