Born in Paris, Thierry Henry is of West Indian origin. On 31 August 1994, he played his first Division 1 match for Monaco against Nice, he was 17 years old. He already presented himself as a great future player, and in 1996 he won the European Junior Cup, with David Trézéguet. In 1998, during the French World Cup, he marked 4 goals and was the strongest french player.
