This New Type Of G&T Will Whet Your Appetite This Dry January

Nothing says 'weekend' quite like the first sip of an ice cold gin and tonic on a Friday evening. Up until that sacred time, you've been fuelled by a diet of overpriced chain-cafe coffees. But what if you could combine the two? Enter: the Turbo G&T.

It's no secret the UK is a nation of gin drinkers. But what if you could turbo-charge your G&T?

Enter: The Gin Foundry. The gin geniuses - who've already blessed us with an advent calendar filled with the good stuff - have concocted a twist on the classic tipple, by simply adding a caffeine hit in the form of cold brew coffee. Hence the name 'Turbo G&T'.

This is how to make a Turbo G&T at home:-

Ingredients

35ml Gin (the more citrus-based the better)
10ml Cold Brew Coffee (homemade or shop bought)
Tonic water
Lemon peel to garnish

Method

1. If you're making your own cold brew coffee you'll have to steep ground coffee in cold water for 16 hours.
2. When the time is up pour the measure of gin in a Collins glass filled with ice and add the cold brew coffee.
3. Top up with tonic water and garnish with a swirl of lemon peel.
