Way back when in the sixties, Betty Friedan started to notice “the problem that has no name,” by which she meant the desperate misery of housewives in the USA. 
 
Her book, 'The Feminine Mystique' explores the idea that there could be something more satifsying for women that the marriage and babies formula was frankly mind-blowing - so much so that it supposedly kick started Second Wave Feminism in the US.
