We all know that poverty is a big problem that urgently needs fixing. But when you see these facts, you're going to feel a whole new kind of activist anger. Out of the 1.4 billion people living in poverty, a whopping 70 per cent of those are women. That's more women living on less than 75p a day, than the entire population of the UK. Poverty isn't just about money. It can be the difference between life and death, health and disease, and more often than not, it can go on to affect generations. The sad thing is, poverty is often preventable. And a little effort can make a big impact.
