When YouTuber Jamie Raines decided to begin taking testosterone hormones to transition into a man, he decided to document the journey by taking a selfie each day. These photos show just how dramatically Jamie has changed over the past two years, and gives an insider into the incredible journey of transitioning...

The slideshow of photos show how noticeably Jamie changes over time, but also how lengthly the process can be. However, after two years and ten months just LOOK at him now!

After eight months on the hormone medication he then had top surgery, having his breasts removed and showing how the scars healed over time. Speaking to Buzzfeed, Jamie revealed just how long it took, saying: "I initially intended to just do it for the first year...but then I didn't get any facial hair in my first year...patience is your best friend with transitiioning and it's good to surround yourself with a community or friends and family that will support you - either online or in real life."

He also spoke about how his family and girlfriend were accepting and supportive of the chang, saying: "My whole family and my girlfriend [Shaaba] have just been really supportive and really excited for me because of the changes. I told my mum first and then she told my dad and brother and they've all just been really great with it. My mum thinks this was always how I was supposed to be. She doesn't feel like she's lost a daughter, because I'm the same person to her – I'm still her child, but now I'm just her son."

After two and a half years on 't', Jamie's figure has filled out, he has a better beard than most and shows images side by side proving just how drastically he had changed over time.

Jamie's story and his candidacy in the changes in his body have proven inspirational for others who are going through the same process, with one YouTuber commenting: "I have been so depressed and so self-conscious about my body for so long and just so mad that I was born biologically female with unaccepting parents but after watching this and a couple other videos I realised that some day this will be me and I'll go on T and I'll get top surgery and I'll be happy with myself and I'm just so glad that there are people like you who are able to go through the transition and give hope to all the people who are pre-T."
