Getting a tattoo is a pretty big deal. It's a permanent stamp that's marked on your body forever...and we're not sure we're about that kind of commitment! What would be great is if you could trial a tattoo before actually committing to it, and that's exactly what you can do thanks to genius brothers Tyler and Braden Handley, who created Inkbox.

Because a felt tip drawing is never the truest judge of what a tattoo will look like, Inkbox is probably the smartest option. The new idea, which came about after the two brothers couldn't decide on a tattoo they wanted to commit to, allows you to have organic tattoos that last 12 to 15 days before slowly fading away.

Unlike the flashy metallic temp tattoos we have seen everywhere this summer, the Inkbox tattoos, have the look and feel of a real tattoo.

Real enough to freak out your mother.

The ink, which is made from Genipa americana fruit, dyes the top layer of your skin black over a 12-hour period, and is absolutely safe to use on the skin, and fades naturally. Kinda like a henna tattoo, but so much more rock and roll.

There is a huge catalogue of tattoo designs to choose from, and for those of you who are really arty, you can have the option to customise your own design.

Sofeminine tattoo anyone?
