by Maria Bell Published on 4 April 2014

What happens when two of the world's greatest vices, coffee and booze, are put together? Perfection, that's what. This coffee cocktail by Monica Berg, Bar Manager at Pollen Social, is one that every cocktail lover needs in their arsenal. So if you want to know how to make it, you're in luck. We'll show you how and hold your hand every step of the way.

Coffee cocktails are our guilty pleasure and being able to make something as sophisticated as this for your friends is guaranteed to give you serious dinner party kudos.

Just don't let the whole egg put you off. You won't taste a thing. In fact, the egg is key to making this cocktail super smooth. So if you're tempted, just follow these simple steps and you'll be drinking in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml Ron Zacapa Rum
  • 30 ml Port
  • 1 barspoon
  • sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash Mozart chocolate bitters

All ingredients can be bought at Alexander & James and if you've got a taste for it, just take a look at these rum cocktails for a fun-filled evening.
