by Maria Bell Published on 14 July 2014

Forget bikini bodies, BBQs and all other summertime 'essentials', the one thing you need to get DOWN this summer is knowing how to make an awesome mojito. Because really, what's more important than kicking back with a classic cocktail this summer? We've teamed up with ASDA and BACARDÍ for their tips for the easiest way to make the perfect mojito. We're good like that...

Everyone knows that the mojito is a summertime fave for us Brits, but what most people forget is that it's actually super easy to make at home (and that, my friends, will save you a whole load of pain in a lot of ways).

So we teamed up with ASDA and BACARDÍ to bring you the simplest way to make a homemade mojito with only six ingredients and four basic steps. Summer is sorted.

You will need...

  • 50ml BACARDÍ Superior Rum
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 12 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 heaped tsp of caster sugar
  • Dash of soda
  • Sprig of fresh mint to garnish
  • Ice (crushed)
  • Something to muddle the limes - a rolling pin will suffice.

All products used to make this amazing cocktail are available to purchase on ASDA.com and are currently on offer in selected ASDA stores.

Stay tuned all week for more amazing cocktail lessons from ASDA. If you like them, tweet us @sofeminineUK for more!
