Kanye West is well known for his outrageous arrogance and his recent interview with The New York Times is a classic third-person-filled ego fest. He compares himself to the man behind Apple as well as Vogue super-force Anna Wintour.

Dad-to-be Kanye West has stunned people with the force of his immense arrogance yet again.

He recently spoke to The New York Times about his latest work in music, fashion, culture and apparently world domination.

As he considered his impact on the world in the future, he likened himself to the late Apple co-founder - and technological legend - Steve Jobs.

He said: “I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period.

"By a long jump.

"I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it’s like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z.”

That's not all - he also reckons he's up there with some of the biggest names in cultural history.

He humbly noted: “I’ve been connected to the most culturally important albums of the past four years, the most influential artists of the past 10 years.

"You have like, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern.”

As with many of his interviews before this one, we're left wondering if Kanye is entirely confident with the English language.

He told the paper: “I am in the lineage of Gil Scott-Heron, great activist-type artists. But I’m also in the lineage of a Miles Davis - you know, that liked nice things also.”

Does he know what lineage means?

As a man with such a strong sense of style, it came as no surprise that he then had some things to say on the matter.

In response to questions around his vanity he responded: “The idea of Kanye and vanity are like, synonymous. But I’ve put myself in a lot of places where a vain person wouldn’t put themselves in.

"Like what’s vanity about wearing a kilt?”

Although, when asked about his previous fashion faux pas he simply said: "Kill self. That's all I have to say. Kill self."

He also addressed that moment when he jumped on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to slam Taylor Swift’s victory.

He said: "I don't have one regret."

Let's all remember he's about to have a child with Kim Kardashian - talk about embarrassing parents.
