Drew Barrymore said she wanted a baby "right away" and now she's got it! She's going to be a mummy of two! Her rep confirmed the thrilling news to multiple sources this week.
The baby-to-be is the second for the actress-turned-producer and husband Will Kopelman whose daughter Olive is just over 1 years old.
There was no confirmation initially, but her baby bump did not unnoticed at the LACMA Art+Film Gala, where film director Martin Scorcese and artist David Hockney were honoured.
Drew raised eyebrows donning a printed floor-sweeping dress, which strategically concealed her ever-growing bump. It didn’t fool us!
Last month Drew admitted on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno that she was “very much” looking forward to having a second child in the near future and wanted a baby “right away”.
She said: "I grew up as an only child, and although that really works for some people and for some parents that's the way they want to do it."
Drew tied the knot with art consultant, Will Kopelman in June 2012.
The star explained that the kooky family in the National Lampoon Vacation movies are what inspired her to grow a big family.
She continued: "I want the kids in the back rolling their eyes at mom and dad. I want Rusty and Audrey, theme parks and the whole nine."
In the meantime, big-sis-to-be, Olive Barrymore is working hard on her vocabulary skills so she’ll be ready to show her new sibling the ropes.
Drew gushed: "She says a lot of words...I mean, we all want to believe our kids are smart -- and we should - and she's smart!"
Her little one was expected to be walking just last month so we’re certain her progress is in check just in time for the new arrival.
The Flower Cosmetics founder has been working hard to build her new family having to give up her biggest passions as a actress and a director.
She explained: “I can’t direct right now because I would miss out on my daughter. It was heartbreaking to let it go, but it was a clear choice.”
