It’s all over folks! Ben Haenow has been named the winner of everyone’s favourite singing competition after an intense final against Fleur East. Simon Cowell congratulated the 29-year-old after his victory, telling him: “this is what you’ve waited for for 12 years. This is what turning into a star feels like.” BRB CHILLS. To celebrate Ben’s success, here are his top moments from the competition…

  1. · Cry Me A River
  2. · With A Little Help From My Friends
  3. · Hotel California
  4. · Man in the Mirror
  5. · I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing
  6. · Ain’t No Sunshine
  7. · Hallelujah
  8. · Demons
  9. · Thinking Out Loud
  10. · Something I Need

10. Cry Me A River

Big Band isn’t our favourite X Factor week, but Ben just makes it WORK. Also, dat suit.

9. With A Little Help From My Friends

Just look at Sinita’s face! She is LOVING it, and for good reason!

8. Hotel California

Putting his own spin on Hotel California, Ben knocked this one out of the park!

7. Man in the Mirror

This song will always give us shivers, so when our X Factor winner performs it, it’s truly something special! Lighters in the air everyone…

6. I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing

Looking into the camera like he’s looking into our soul…we’ll stay in this moment for all the rest of time with you Ben!

5. Ain’t No Sunshine

Stupid, annoying semi-goatee and lip ring aside, we knew he had pipes the moment he walked in! Just look at the judge’s faces light up!

4. Hallelujah

We’re quite surprised he got votes this week actually. It’s hard to type the numbers on your handset to vote through TEARS OF JOY.

3. Demons

Ben pulled out all the stops of the final, and dammit this performance was probably the clincher, especially when he smashed through that glass, OOF! Sorry Fleur, but it’s hard to beat a flawless Imagine Dragons cover!

2. Thinking Out Loud

OH HEY ED SHEERAN. Not to judge the contestants on their celebrity partner, but this duet was freaking PERFECT.

1. Something I Need

Most likely to be our Christmas number 1, check out Ben’s debut single, Something I Need. Good luck sitting through the entire thing without some major goosebumps!
