Liam Hemsworth has begun to open up about his break-up with Miley Cyrus.
The 23-year-old actor has remained pretty much silent for the last few months since the pair officially ended their relationship in August as his ex-fiancée has gotten steadily more edgy with her performances and dress sense.
However, Liam has been on a worldwide press tour for his new film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and has been unable to avoid the topic of Miley from cropping up.
He has now hinted his disapproval at the We Can’t Stop singer's scantily clad ways, and has also slightly opened up about their break-up, claiming that the speculation doesn’t bother him because he knows the truth.
It’s like trying to prise open a clam isn’t it? Come on Liam, open up and tell us all about it!
He did tell the Associated Press: “What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that’s all that matters."
Liam may be referring to one of the rumours regarding their break-up, which suggested that Liam had a fling with X-Men: First Class actress January Jones.
However, he continued to say: “I know I’m a good person and these days I feel like I’m more centred and grounded than I’ve ever been.
“I read a lot of Zan books and I grew up surfing, so that has always been my escape.”
Good for you Liam! In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the star plays Gale, who is part of a love triangle with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). And it seems Jennifer Lawrence is one of the people helping Liam to feel happier these days.
He said: “For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment. But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m much happier.”
Jen to the rescue! However, we know she is pretty loved up with her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult at the moment, so there’s nothing romantic going on there, even though The Last Song actor has admitted he is single, revealing: “I don’t have a lady at the moment.” Oh really?!
