Every season, we wait in great suspense to see how Dai Fujiwara will breathe new life into the latest Issey Miyake collection. This time, he reflects on the four main points of the compass. He opens proceedings with a succession of daytime dresses and coats, where tropical-tinged patterns drive his inspiration.

Key features are the elegant sleeveless blazers and a short cape that breaks up the bodice of a dress. On clothing, and occasionally on tights, fabled creatures from myths, originating in Gandhara-Pakistan, appear. These motifs sometimes teeter into the realm of 'pop'.

From the north to the south, and passing by the east and the west, this collection has some charming and refreshing ethnic connotations in true Miyake style. We love the mesh tops and the palette of bright colours, which can instantly lift your mood.
