Paris Fashion Week S/S 2010: Christian Dior catwalk report
Published on 3 October 2009
Inspired by the world of "Film Noir", John Galliano presented a spring/summer 2010 collection that was full of chic mystery. In a dark alleyway setting, the models appear in fine lingerie.
The first outlines are graphic and sensual and bring to mind the young Lauren Bacall, femme fatale and Dior client.
Pale pink, flesh-coloured and beige tones appear on trench coats and pencil skirts. A grey lamé trench coat, worn with python leather shorts, is a definite attention-grabber.
A leading accessory is the attaché-case, featured in leather, silk, muslin, lurex and lace.
Evening-wear includes lamé sheath dresses, enhanced with tulle, and dresses with daring slits.
