Jasper Conran's spring/summer collection seems to celebrate a quintessential English 'rose' woman. With full-on ruby lips and hair swept back from the face, the models walked with the confidence of women totally comfortable in their own skin as well as Jasper's beautifully-cut clothes.

The colour palette is dominated by white and cream with just a few flashes of gold (in a sassy off-the-shoulder slouchy top) and silver (a bomber jacket and a mini sequin dress). Corsetry is a central theme echoed in a variety of waist-cinching dresses and at the back of jackets and there are lace details in dresses and also in the cage-like shoes and funky sculpted bags. There is a nod to punk in white bondage trousers with back splits.

Decolletage is also key for Jasper this season - bandeau dresses dominate along with cleavage-revealing sculpted tops. Laser cutting is also in evidence on a white dress. One of the keys to Jasper's success is his ability to attract a wide range of customers and this season should be no exception - from a luxurious double-breasted cream coat to silver shorts, there is something for those who want understated elegance and those who want to inject some fun into their wardrobes.
