Silver and pastel were in abundance in Chanel's new collection. This duo of colours were found on a high-collared jacket and a cocktail dress cut just above the knee, featuring a mao-inspired collar and pearl embroidery over the neckline.

Accessories included silver fingerless gloves and oversized perspex bracelets. And much to the bemusement of many, the culotte-skirt made a return, combined with a charming tweed jacket.

Mauve, powder pink, light yellow .. the beautiful palette of colours offered by Karl Lagerfeld is both flattering for the complexion and perfect for spring/summer. This range of colours also found their way onto evening dresses where there was absolutely no sign of Coco's trademark black and white.
