Naomi Campbell's hair: What she should be doing...

Naomi Campbell's hair: What she should be doing...

We know she's a bit of a diva, and not everyone's favourite supermodel, but we couldn't help but feel for poor Naomi Campbell when her shocking hairline was revealed. Damn it, the girl is going bald.

Her receeding hairline is due to one too many tight weaves - her tresses have been put through all sorts of stress - and it shows. It turns out life as a top model isn't all good.

Tricholigists say the extensions, which are attached to your real hair by glue, weaving or braiding, put such tension on follicles in the scalp that they can become inflamed causing hair to fall out - a condition known as traction alopecia.

Bad news for glue-in hair extensions... but there are other ways to get your locks looking fuller and more fabulous, without the weave.

One of the beauty desk discoveries is LA Science's follicle stimulating shampoo. The shampoo can be used with their Anti Hair Loss Serum to help combat more serious forms of thinning hair or hair loss.

The range infuses the base of the hair follicle with active ingredients to produce healthier hair and extend the growth phase of the hair cycle which means longer, stronger hair.

So as well as helping general hair health their serum can improve blood supply to the scalp, revitalise and rejuvenate the hair follicle, strengthen the hair shaft and promote hair growth.

We've not had extensions for a while - but after those shocker Campbell snaps we're tempted to stock up on all the hair health products we can get our hands on!

Time to give our tresses some TLC.
