When it comes to choosing the right scents for the summer it's important to know your base notes. The rich, warm heavy notes of the winter, don't work so well during the summer months. In the heat you will need fragrances that are light fruity and fresh.
And if you don't want to take our word for it, we spoke to Michelle D’Vaz, Brand and Marketing Manager of The Perfume Shop who added, "Summer scents are often lighter and brighter than winter scents as they use an array of floral, fruity or citrus notes to create maximum impact and compliment sunshine filled days."
Which makes eau de parfum fragrances the perfect choice for summer. Unlike other fragrance strengths eau de parfum is lighter, it contains just 10 to 15 percent of the perfume compound. But don't be put off by this, eau de parfums still leave you smelling sensational, without being over powering.
