London Fashion Week is fast approaching, and we can’t wait to see what the fashion gods have to offer us this season. But before that, we are taking a walk down memory lane, or more appropriately the runway, and looking back at our favourite looks from fashion shows past.

After 30 years, London Fashion week is still making our fashion dreams come true. These moments are by far some of the ones we look back at most fondly. Is London the ultimate fashion capital?? We think so.

Tom Ford Autumn/Winter 2014

When music met fashion. In a witty and brilliant nod to pop culture, Tom Ford sent out a sequined football jersey down the runway. The jerseys paid homage to Jay-Z’s lyric, ‘ I don’t pop molly, I rock Tom Ford.’

Katherine Hamnett Spring/Summer 2004

Katharine Hamnett known for using her catwalk shows to make political points, and also known for making slogan tops fashionable, sent out Naomi Campbell in this ‘Use A Condom’ sheer top. It was the designers way to draw attention to the AIDS epidemic in Africa and promote safe sex.

Maria Grachvogel Spring/Summer 2000

Before becoming a designer herself Victoria Beckham modeled this flamenco-style dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high hemline for Maria Grachvogel. Mrs Beckham did the leg bomb way before Angelina Jolie.

House of Holland Autumn/Winter 2010

Bandanas and hoop earrings, hello nineties. Inspired by downtown NewYork girl gangs the collection is complete with high ponytail to the side.

Julien Macdonald Spring/Summer 2012

Glamour and drama is what you expect from Julien Macdonald and he did exactly that with this look. This beautifully embroidered gown would look great on any red carpet events, even today 3 years later.

Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010

With Victoria Beckham, Emma Watson , Gwyneth Paltrow and Agyness Deyn on the front row, this show had a lot of hype to live up to, and it did just that. With the classic Burberry trench coats teamed with dresses the look was fresh and so Burberry.

Topshop Unique Spring/Summer 2010

The first highstreet store to be on the London Fashion Week runway in 2005, Topshop delivered this collection five years later. The SS10 collection was young, on trend, trademark Topshop.

Stella McCartney Graduation Show 1995

Starting her career off in style, Stella McCartney’s graduation show included Kate Moss. With a rock star for a father and a model for a friend, McCartney was always going to be huge.

PPQ Spring/Summer 2012

Finally a look from the catwalk we can try at home. The double denim is becoming a fashion staple. The collection was full of candy colours , clashing prints and lots of denim.

Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2014

We still can’t get over these caped beauties. Lead by Cara , all the models wore matching blankets over their shoulders and KILLED the catwalk.

Bring on Autumn/Winter 2015-16 !
